Sponsor a child. Change lives. Save souls.

Hidden away in a remote South Asian village is a haven for orphaned and abandoned children. In 1987, one native Christian couple, grieved by the large number of children who were rejected by their parents and left on the streets, created a safe place where these unwanted children would be wrapped in Christ’s love.

This children’s home is for children who would otherwise become beggars or be sold into slavery, are fed, clothed and sent to school. Most importantly, they are trained daily in the knowledge of Christ—a brand new concept in this Hindu region.

Because of the invaluable support of faithful child sponsors, Christian Aid can help children’s homes, like this one, all over the world.

For $20 per month you can sponsor a child and become a supply line through which God will build His kingdom.

Letters from formerly sponsored children:

Dear Sponsor,

I write this letter of thanks and gratitude to you for your support and prayers. I was born in a rural village in Tamil Nadu State of India. My parents were very poor, uneducated Hindus. My father was a drunkard and spent most of his earnings on liquor. Seriously ill, he died. One month later, my mother died. It was believed that she was possessed by evil spirit at the time of her death.

I was six years old at the time, and was left with my elder brother. My relatives did not want to take care of us. My brother, who was 15, decided to leave me and go work in the city.

But God took care of me. A Christian in my town found me and informed the director, known as Uncle Luke, of the children’s home. Uncle Luke traveled 200 miles from to see me. After a prayer, he brought me to his orphanage. There I started enjoying the fellowship of 24 brothers and sisters, and grew in Christian faith. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior.

After completing high school, I finished a two-year degree at an industrial training institute in the nearby town. I now work for an electric company.

For many years I have gratefully received your financial support. Thank you for supporting me. I, in turn, will support my children’s home and be faithful to my heavenly Father.

~Philip

Dear Sponsor,

I write this letter to thank you for supporting me for many years.

I was born in a small village, 24 miles from the children’s home. My mother, suffering from jaundice, died two months after my birth. My father died when I was just three years old due to asthma. Both of my parents were Hindus and agricultural laborers and did not leave any property behind them. I was their only son. I was looked after by my grandmother until I was five. After her death, I was left on the streets with no one to look after me.

God saved my life through the pastor of a nearby church who brought me to the shelter. While at the children’s home, I learned about Christ. They took care of all my needs and sent me to school. After high school, I studied auto engineering at a technical school. I am now 22, and employed in a private company in Bangalore city.

I am truly happy and my heart is full of gratitude for your prayers. Your prayers have made me a meaningful and true Christian. I hope that many more sponsors will continue to support orphans at the home. God bless you.

~Kittim
